Aslom Islet in Bulalacao got its name from the Cebuano word aslom meaning "sour" because of the abundance of sampalok (tamarind) trees that are known for its sour fruit. The islet is distinguished by its crescent- shaped white sandbar that stretches at about 500 meters.
