Kuta Shrine

The Ruins of Kuta Church in Anilao, Bongabong are the remnants of an 18th Century church. At that time, it is a place of worship and a walled fortress against Moro invaders. The church is believed to have been burned down and abandoned due to the Moro's constant attacks between the year 1753 and 1754. On the 25 June 2012, the site was declared by the National Historical Commission as a National Historical Landmark, the first ever in Oriental Mindoro.
